This session considers approaches to developing children’s number sense in KS1 and KS2. We will consider different models of the number system and ways in which these can be used to support children’s understanding and connections between different aspects of number.
Start Date: 26th April 2017
During this course, the participants will explore how to ensure that all pupils become secure whilst at the same time providing sufficient challenge for more able children to work at greater depth within the appropriate age objectives.
Outcomes for Participants:
- To be clear about age related expectations
- To gain strategies for extending more able pupils
